I kindly ask you to treat this home as you would your own and return the place as you found it to earn a great review. We really want to refund your entire deposit. We’ve had instances where we haven’t been able to and neither of us wants that. Also, the backyard is shared with the guests downstairs. So, play nice. That area is not covered by the cleaning fee. Please keep it clean at all times.

Here’s a little bonus I sneak in here for a reward for actually reading this section. I called it “free night feedback”. If you can give me usable advice in the *private* comments section or through the messaging tool upon check out that would be beneficial to other guests I will add you to a list for a chance at one night free to one guest per month. Examples include: Famous Amos oatmeal raisin cookies instead of the bottled water, disposable slippers like at Crown Plaza hotel, something that a previous host did (and a link to their listing). Please be specific. I really want to use your feedback.
And most importantly, sit back, relax, and enjoy. Make yourself at home.

This beautifully appointed row home will make your visit to DC feel both relaxing and comfortable. This freshly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom, 2 story house sits ready to house you and your party. (Not available for events or parties, sorry.)
The sleeping arrangements breakdown: Master bedroom has 1 queen size bed; second bedroom has a daybed & trundle – two twin beds; third bedroom daybed & trundle – two twin beds; the futon in the living room lays flat to fit one; the Ottoman pulls out to fit one, and then there is an extra thick high-quality queen-size air mattresses (with an easy to use built-in pump) to be used wherever you prefer.
There is a whole home intercom system with radio and a portable, Bluetooth-enabled Harman Kardon speakers to allow you to play from any of your phones, tablets or PCs.
We’ve stocked the kitchen with a pots, pan, plates, bowls, cups, mugs and utensils for those who might want to stay-in. We also provide several mugs, a deluxe Keurig® K350 2.0 coffee maker (with touchscreen LCD) and a wide variety of K-Cups.
My place is just a few minutes’ walk from a Capital Bikeshare station so that you can check out a bike for your trip to the monuments, Metro, run errands, go shopping, or visit friends and family. As for parking, there is generally ample street parking is available but no designated parking. Lastly, there are two Metro train stations less than a mile away to take you within minutes of most tourist sites, two bus stops around the corner, and Uber is never far.
The first four guest are free. For large groups, an additional fee of $10 per person will be assessed.
Also, each bed has microfiber sheets and cozy comforters to help you sleep in on your vacation… Plus, there is a tub with Jacuzzi jets and several plush robes to make your stay even that more enjoyable.
The neighborhood is in transition. It is the very culturally and socio-demographically diverse. In the past couple years this area has become a popular destination for young DC urban professionals to relocate while living amongst those who have called DC home for decades.
Lastly, there is Wi-Fi (105 Mbps – the fastest I could buy) and HD Xfinity Cable. And feel free to use the washer and dryer. I try to keep some detergent and dryer sheets on the property.
Guests will have access to the entire unit including a quaint backyard with patio seating.
For your convenience, we installed a keypad entry to the home, allowing you go about your day without having to track a key. The code is changed after check-out.
Interaction with Guests
I’m a single dad plus I have a full-time job that often keeps me away from my phone (and the app) and keeps me on the road. Consequently, I’ve hired a great team of people to help you get timely responses (Guesty) and even have my mother (Yvette) keeping an eye out if you have issues. My hope is that this doesn’t make the feeling impersonal but instead that you feel that the communication is extremely responsive. Since I don’t live on the property, the place is all yours to relax and make yourself at home.
The neighborhood is diverse and conveniently located within walking distance to several cafe’s, restaurants, and minutes from tourist sites.

As for parking, there is no designated parking. However, street parking is available. Lastly, there are two Metro train stations (New York Ave stop on the Red line and the Shaw stop on the Green line – I prefer the walk to the Shaw-Howard U Metro Station) less than a mile away to take you within minutes of most tourist sites, two bus stops around the corner, and Uber is never far.
